Excuse me?
It never fails, we go through the ebb and flow of life and while we focus a great deal of our time on manners, it seems to slip the mind of the almost-four-year-old residing under roof. The past week has been a challenge. Jaden has believed it necessary to direct everyone in what they should or should not be doing. Today, again, my foot stomped harshly on the behavior, which sends chills up my spine and force blood to flow to the head, causing a bit of turbulence.
Jaden awoke shortly after Rob came home from working a twelve hour grave shift and promptly decided that *HE* was in control. It began with my being told that I was not allowed to watch the news because *he* doesn’t like it. From there, life progressed to bringing dishes into the living room, a big no-no. Then it was off to the bathroom to begin singing at the top of his lungs into a toothbrush, while Rob attempts to sleep. Wonderful. Not.
So I ask him if he is ready for breakfast, to which Jaden states, “You have to get me Apple Jacks in my red bowl now.” I looked at him and said when you find manner and your listening ears, come talk to me. Until then, sit. Even now, he’s sitting in his spot at the table, making little noise… and not speaking to me.
