Happy Holidays!

Tonight marked my final night at work before a much needed mini-vacation.  It’s been a long few weeks working six days a week, with many doubles, and that time away from my family will finally pay off.  I won’t be returning to work again until Thursday.  HOORAY!

I have fourteen presents left to wrap.  Santa gifts are tucked away, hiding under my bed or in the back of one vehicle.  Monday night will prove to be quite interesting I’m assuming as we must assemble a wagon, which is one of the prized gifts requested from Santa.  The wagon, however, will make displaying Santa’s gifts quite easy, contained and quite visible.

Christmas Day we will be venturing out for a family gift exchange and dinner.  I’ve purchased two bottles of wine for the occasion.  Campanile Pino Grisio and Black Opal Shiraz.   The Pino Grisio is quite light with a mild sweetness.  It almost seems lighter than water.  The Shiraz, however, has quite a bold taste.  The acidic fruit flavor cleanses the palate between bites of food, allowing for full flavor to be experienced with each bite.  It’s quite amazing how wine works with food.

There are only three rooms needing tidied up before Christmas now.  Fortunately, my son has been more than willing to prepare the house for Santa’s big arrival.  Cleaning has been a top priority.  It’s great to have all the help with cleaning!  Such a wonderful present for mom!
