A heart of turmoil

Sometimes the world seems dark and dreary,

Every person and action leaves you leary

Questions arrise and soon sets in doubt

Wondering now of your life’s route

Thunderous clouds line your heart

Sending you hiding and ready to dart

The fear rages of forever standing alone

Harboring emotions, never wanting to moan

The face of a man fighting the past

Yearning for freedom and love that’ll last

Wanting faith enough to fully trust

A woman who’s found such grand lust

Through all the past pain and tears

Someone’s standing looking at future years

A stable and steady standing rock

Awaiting your ship to make dock

Preparing for future moments to sail

Remembering the honesty that’ll never fail

Allowing you time she’ll continue to stay

Waiting for you just a phone call away
